01/07/26 Hello, wildhearted, truth-tellers, hope-dealers and beautiful souls! The Uncomfortable Middle So here we are...staring into the face of 2026. And I feel a bit...discombobulated. Sometimes the space after the old is cleared (thank you 2025...definitely a “deep clean” of a year) feels a lot like a train that’s loaded but hasn’t left the station yet. Some passengers are still saying their goodbyes, while others are just arriving, and the platform hums with unfinished business, possibility, and noise. You can feel the weight of the moment...the hustle-bustle feeling...yet...there’s a waiting for something in the air. It’s tempting in these moments to fill the time with busyness. Old habits. Familiar patterns. Things that make you look busy and competent, even if they don’t actually change anything but the time. (Raise your hand if you’ve ever found yourself busy just to avoid being with the uneasiness there. Yeah, me too.) That’s the middle, the in-between, the pause that feels sticky, messy. And yet…there’s a subtle invitation in that pause. To stay present...to feel the anticipation of what’s to come...and to let this feeling be there. And then pay attention. Awareness raised up. The train hasn’t left yet, which means you have time to notice the small things calling for attention. Tiny seeds that, if tended gently, will be ready to grow and tell you things when the moment arrives. Maybe it’s a thought that keeps nudging you in the corner of your mind. Maybe it’s a project that surfaced months ago but never got full attention. (Like, hello, six-part audio idea — looking at you.) You don’t need to hustle around, trying to feed your uneasiness with doing. Just notice. Just breathe. Give a little space to what is asking for it, and let the rest wait. This is how the middle unfolds...not in a hurry, but with patience, attention, and trust in the timing. Some time ago, I came across a poem by Polly Castor and was captivated by the term “Liminal Space.” The in-between. And I think one of the most challenging spaces to sit and be still in...is the in-between places. I’m excited for what 2026 holds for us! I am also thrilled you are here on this journey with me. Let’s do it together. Onward and Upward! Wild-Heart Practice of the Week:"Tend to the Calling" Our First Wildhearted Gathering Of 2026 is Here:

12/31/25 Greetings Wildhearted Souls! I had just finished doing some work clearing brush from an embankment on some very wild and rustic mountain property and paused for a few moments to bathe in the surrounding silence. While working I noticed that I could hear traffic noises from I-26 (very deep and low truck sounds), which was a little surprising because I was quite a few miles from the highway. (Sound travels and bounces around in odd ways in the mountains.) But from this...I began to...
